Posted in Ecuador, Travel and places to stay on Jan 10th, 2008

Many readers write to us worried about this so I think the [...]

In response to Gary’s post on Aerogal (see Aerogal Service) here is what one reader wrote:
Hi Gary,
As someone with a long established interest in aviation safety - I think we could do without spin like “good focus on safety as well with all of the airline’s planes, including six new Boeing [...]

Soon we’ll be even closer to the [...]
This is to Gary Scott and all others who can rationalize in an even handed manner. I was so surprised that this individual decided to write this awful “book” to you about the woes of Ecuador . I have actually been affected by his negative comments and the only way for me to get past [...]

Dear Gary,
An excellent repost. Though I do have my doubts about Correa I doubt he will become a Chavez. My mother is Colombian. and as you know I was born in Colombia and I have ancestral ties to Colombia. My great grand-uncle, Francisco Antonio Zea, appointed Sucre as Marshall during a short stint as president [...]

Dear Gary and Merri
I was gobsmacked (I bet you haven’t heard that expression for a
while) when I read the comments (reproduced below in itallics) on
this so-called expert on Ecuador. I
suppose it takes all kinds of ignorant gits to make up the world but
this idiot takes the cake. Thank god you had the sense to publish [...]
Ecuador Living makes every day in the publishing business fun…yet also tinted with some sadness, because there is usually someone with a great deal of ignorance…tinted with anger, who decides to waste their time spewing both. Here is an example. I am forwarding this (unedited) not because it is worthy of comment, but because [...]
