Cotacachi property and real estate offers great value but buyers should look before they leap.

Real estate in Cotacachi is inexpensive but there are growing numbers of people here who are marking prices up. Real estate buyers need to look at many Cotacachi properties before they buy.

For example here is one property in the San Miguel community. If you look in Google for “Cotacachi real estate for sale,” you may see it offered at $65,000, $119,000 and $139,000.

How can one property be available for three different prices?

This is simple. One person trying to sell Cotacahi homes is trying to attract potential buyers by showing unreal, low prices. I believe in the real estate business this is called bait and switch.

Another person who hopes to sell this property has added $20,000, hoping that some buyer is not aware.

The owner told us they wanted $119,000 and this price may be a bit high as it is. Another house in the community has an asking price of just $99,000.
