Cotacachi progress is wonderful to see…especially in troubled times

Merri and I flew down to Cotacachi early this week and after being away just a short time we are amazed to see how much new progress there is here.

Cotacachi is a great place but so much is going on. Cotacachi just gets better.

First here is a new roof on the Cotacachi Cathedral. Here is a shot from our bedroom.

Next Cotacachi is getting its main road, Tenth of August, repaved. It looks wonderful.

This improvement in Cotacachi is almost done and Steve Marchant will report shortly. The sidewalks of Cotacachi are special and they are putting in new pavers right along the new central road.

Cotacachi’s new condos Primavera II are almost finished. More on this in an upcoming message as well.

Plus a new Cotacachi housing project is moving along. We saw the cleared areas in previous messages. Now all the new sidewalks are in.

Finally several new restaurants have popped up. This one “Flavors & Colors” specializes in a killer chocolate mousse. I obviously had to test one in the name of good journalism and am dismayed that I cannot find words that describe.

You’ll have to come test this for yourself.

Cotacachi is such a delightful place to be and with all the doom and gloom going on elsewhere the contrast enhances this delight. How wonderful to be places where there is progress and happy, friendly, energetic people like Cotacachi.
