Cotacachi roses are a great way to start the new year
Merri and I received a gift of Cotacachi holiday roses on December 9. They were sent by a rose plantation owner we know from Cotacachi Ecuador. Here were the roses on my dining room table that day.
We thought, “How nice let’s repay the favor and see if we can sell a few roses for these people and raise some money for Ecuador’s poor at the same time.
We are not talking about little, dinky roses that never open either. These are real roses…full..and aromatic as you can see in my hand.
I ordered more myself and my next batch of fresh Ecuador Christmas roses looked like this.
What started as a small simple idea mushroomed! The plantation was truly overwhelmed. Sales passed 9,000 roses ordered in just a week.
We are delighted as this raised almost $3,600 for our foundation that helps Ecuador’s poor.
Plus this really helped the hard workers in Ecuador’s rose business as
sales during the economic downturn have been slow.
Due to this demand the Ecuador rose plantation extends its offer. 50 fresh Ecuador roses can be delivered to your home, December 30, before the new year, on all orders that are received before 6pm Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
