Retire in Ecuador & Nursing Homes

One benefit for those who retire in Ecuador is the care in nursing homes.
Many people have found that they can no longer afford to keep their parents in retirement homes. We see a growing number of people wh retire in Ecuador and bring their parents to live in nursing homes.
The retired people of Ecuador have good longevity. Many retired Ecuador residents at a nursing home near our hotel, Meson de las Flores in Cotacachi Ecuador are over 90.
Countries like Ecuador that have a strong Catholic population are good at retirement care. The Cotacachi Ecuador retirement home is looked after by a group of nuns who work voluntarily.
The costs are very low compared to the West and the retirees there are treated very well!
Here are some pictures of this Ecuador retirement nursing home that show its cleanliness and the happiness of the residents. They are given manual chores to stay dextrous and are checked weekly by the local doctor Dr. Vaca.
He is a GP but also a natural entertainer. He whirls the more able ladies out of their chairs for a quick twirl on the lounge floor which serves as the dance floor and when we visited he and his teenage daughter sang ‘La Bamba’.
