Financing for gringos is rare anywhere in Ecuador and this project and this area have been among our favorites since we first spotted this land with the developer, our friend Kjetil Haugan about 12 years ago.
Vistazul is unique… on a dead end road with great privacy… right on the beach. What makes this extra special is…
the access to the beach in a quiet, small village yet near a large city (Manta) and town (Bahia) each about 40 minutes away.
We have also already liked the fact that the clubhouse and infrastructure… club house…
tennis courts…. swimming pool… dining room were all complete before the project started.

warm. Here I am researching this fact in front of Vistazul.
The construction of phase one of Vistazul is now almost complete and Kjetil has mortgages available on several units.
He just sent me this note.
We have completed buildings four and five and are starting the finish work in building two. Building six is ready to start finish work.
We have had heavy equipment working on the landscaping for about 2 weeks now and they completed the work yesterday.
Now we will then start to put pavers on the main roads and have located grass seeds that will work on the coast.
Our construction manager is kept busy and he is really good at what he does.
We have 15 of the 42 units left to sell. Financing is available on ten of these units, number 102, 103, 104, 202, 203, 301, 303, 305, 405, 406.
The down payment required is $25,000. The balance can be paid over 48 months with monthly payments of $ 1300 per month. Units available at this price are; 102, 103, 104, 202, 203, 301, 303, 305, 405, 406. The price is the same on all units on a first come first served basis.
