One way to earn a steady income in Ecuador is with a writing and micro self publishing business.   If you plan to write, consider writing by hand as well as on a computer.

The art of writing enhances intelligence by integrating the brain with the mind.

1950s schoolroom

My grade school rooms looked something like this with scratched wood and metal cast iron desks, ink wells, dusty chalkboards, an American flag and drab green pencil sharpener on the wall.

School rooms have changed a lot since then, but the New York Times article “What’s Lost as Handwriting Fades” (1) by Maria Konnikovajune shows that not everything about the change is good.

The article explains that Common Core standards adopted in most states, only call for teaching legible writing in kindergarten and first grade.  The emphasis is now aimed at proficiency on the keyboard.  This is a problem when one looks at the development of the mind.

The article says: New evidence suggests that the links between handwriting and broader educational development run deep.

Children not only learn to read more quickly when they first learn to write by hand, but they also remain better able to generate ideas and retain information. In other words, it’s not just what we write that matters — but how.

“When we write, a unique neural circuit is automatically activated,” said Stanislas Dehaene, a psychologist at the Collège de France in Paris. “There is a core recognition of the gesture in the written word, a sort of recognition by mental simulation in your brain.

A 2012 study led by Karin James, a psychologist at Indiana University, lent support to that view. Children who had not yet learned to read and write were presented with a letter or a shape on an index card and asked to reproduce it in one of three ways: trace the image on a page with a dotted outline, draw it on a blank white sheet, or type it on a computer. They were then placed in a brain scanner and shown the image again.

The researchers found that the initial duplication process mattered a great deal. When children had drawn a letter freehand, they exhibited increased activity in three areas of the brain that are activated in adults when they read and write: the left fusiform gyrus, the inferior frontal gyrus and the posterior parietal cortex.

By contrast, children who typed or traced the letter or shape showed no such effect. The activation was significantly weaker.

These studies suggest that children who learn how to write have improved access to their innate intelligence.  We use this fact to unlock our higher forms of intelligence that we cannot access in lingual form.

We use techniques to create business and investing ideas in the Quantum Thinking Workshop conducted during our International Investing and Business Seminars (see the next seminar on investing/business Oct. 10-11-12 in Montreal).

We also teach this tactic to create writing ideas during our Writer’s Camp.

There are the three steps in this technique:

Step #1: Write by hand for five or ten minutes everything you can about a business idea.  This connects the the mind/body functions.

Step #2: Take a ten minute meditation or sit quietly for 10 minutes listening to Baroque largo music.  Relax and let your mind wander… use innocence… no expectation.

Step #3:  At the end of ten minutes write down whatever is on your mind at that time. Write as much about it as you can…just let it flow.

In the thoughts…in the visions that you have at the end of the ten minute meditation or in the quiet listening, there will be an out of the box idea to dwell on… often in graphic form…could be a picture rather than words.  Dwell easily on this in context of your business.  You will be very pleased and delighted with the results of your own creative, simple writings.

We integrated this tactic (which was taught to us by a Buddhist Monk) with the Super Thinking knowledge to come up with this special way of  tapping into the infinite knowledge to which we are all connected.

We use this system because the intelligence that is in us can in times of stress overwhelm our ability to think logically.  Our universe of information is yoda, terra bytes of data compared to our logic… as a processor… not even 64K.  At the least we cannot expect to use just our logical thinking to tap into the universe.

This is why it’s right to write!
